Dental Implants

The closest thing to your own tooth.

A dental implant is a titanium root that is placed into the jawbone and allowed to integrate with the surrounding bone over a period of weeks. Once stable, a precision-crafted crown is attached, creating a restoration that looks, feels, and functions like a natural tooth.

Implants are the gold standard for replacing missing teeth. Unlike a bridge, they do not require adjacent teeth to be prepared or reduced. Unlike a denture, they are fixed, permanent, and require no adhesives or special maintenance beyond normal oral hygiene.

At The Lodge, implants are placed by Tom Ellis, a dedicated implant dentist who works closely with our restorative team to ensure every case is planned precisely, executed carefully, and finished to the highest standard.

Your journey begins with a comprehensive consultation, including a review of your dental and medical history, clinical photographs, and where appropriate, 3D imaging to assess bone volume and anatomy. A detailed written treatment plan is provided before any commitment is made.

If you have been told you are not suitable for implants, perhaps due to bone loss, it is worth seeking a second opinion. Advances in bone augmentation techniques mean that many patients who were previously told implants were not possible are now successfully treated. Tom will give you an honest, thorough assessment.
